Terms & Conditions
As with all legal terms and conditions, these get a bit technical and we're sorry if they sound rather formal. However, they are pretty standard and designed to enhance your shopping experience with us and make it as easy and secure as possible.
The terms and conditions apply to the use of the (Emerald Crafts) website. By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to accept these terms and conditions (The Conditions).
Please note, these terms and conditions are regularly revised and may change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions regularly before ordering products in case there are any changes. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions set out below, you should not use or access the website.
If you have any queries relating to our terms and conditions, please contact the Customer Service team before placing an order.
The following terms and conditions will apply between you and Emerald Crafts ("Emerald Crafts") when you purchase an item from us. The terms do not affect your statutory rights.
You must be eighteen years old or above to use this site. If you are under eighteen, you may only use the site in conjunction with, and under the supervision of, a parent or guardian. If you do not qualify, please do not use the site.
You warrant that all details you provide to Emerald Crafts for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods are true, accurate, current and complete in all respects; and that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover payment of the product(s) ordered.
You agree that e-mail can be used as a long-distance means of communication.
During the registration process, you must choose a username and password. You are responsible for all actions taken under that username and password and must only purchase from Emerald Crafts under your own username and password. You must make every effort to keep your password safe and should not disclose it to anyone. If it is compromised, you must change it. You may not transfer or sell your username to anyone, nor permit, either directly or indirectly, anyone to use your username or password. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform Emerald Crafts as soon as possible.
It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught wilfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Emerald Crafts tracks the electronic 'fingerprints' of every order placed online to enable us, and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities, to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on our website.
Emerald Crafts reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you and to suspend or terminate your access to the site immediately and without notice to you if:
● you fail to make payment to us when due
● you breach any of our terms and conditions
● when requested by us to do so, you fail to provide within a reasonable time frame, sufficient information to enable us to determine the accuracy and validity of any information supplied by you, or your identity
● we suspect you have engaged, or are about to engage, or have way of being involved in fraudulent or illegal activity on Emerald Crafts
You agree to fully indemnify us, our officers, employees, agents and suppliers, immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses arising out of any breach by you of these terms and conditions or by your use of this website, or the use of any other person accessing this website using your shopping account or your personal information.

When you shop with us, our secure server encrypts all of your personal information, including name, address and credit card information. We use Opayo which are an industry leader in secure internet transactions. Opayo are used by thousands of other UK businesses for transaction security.
All transaction information passed between our website and the Opayo Payment System is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and all messages from Opayo are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to Opayo can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Once on the Opayo system, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data they hold is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Opayo has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.
No individuals within our company or Opayo are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your card information is secure even from their own employees because the systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
We use the industry leading internet payment company PayPal to protect your card details and protect from fraud. PayPal keeps your information safe. We will never actually see your bank or credit card details, they are passed in a highly secure way directly to PayPal for processing. Industry-leading fraud prevention is just one of the reasons PayPal is a safe way to pay online. PayPal uses proprietary technology and constantly innovates to monitor transactions and maintain a secure payment system. To help you keep track of your account activity, PayPal sends an email confirmation of every account transaction. For more information visit www.paypal.co.uk
